Yesterday we were fortunate enough to welcome Pamela Halawi, the daughter of Leslie Sutton, a much loved and much missed community veteran who passed away in 2019, to do an assembly for the Year 8’s and 9’s on Remembrance day. Pamela discussed the importance of this day and brought with her many pictures and newspaper clippings to show her father’s life and story during World War II, emphasising the importance of remembering these key moments of history and the millions of lives that fought for our tomorrow.
All week assemblies were given by Miss Shutz talking about different people who served our country both past and present as shown in the pictures.
