Today we held a mock Seder (traditional Passover meal) at King Solomon High School for Year 7 and Year 8 led by Miss Aaronson and Mr Walmer. Students were all given their own Hagaddah (book of readings for the seder service), which they could take home with them and they got to experience the various different parts of a Seder which many Jewish people will be doing in a weeks’ time to celebrate Pesach.
The student’s behaviour and engagement was excellent throughout. They really got involved in all of the singing and enjoyed the somewhat unusual elements that make up a Seder plate.
Well done to all of the students for taking part and a massive thank you to all of the staff who helped to organise and facilitate such a joyous event. It was a fantastic way to mark the festival of Pesach as well as the end of term.
