I am PC David Hair and I am a police officer for the Metropolitan Police Service. I am currently posted to the Safer Schools portfolio, which is part of the wider neighbourhood Policing Team.

I have been a Safer Schools Police officer for over 5 years and have worked in various schools across the East Area. My main objective is to engage positively with young people within the school environment, helping to educate them on different areas of the law. I also take a proactive approach to ensuring children do not fall into situations that could cause them issues further down the road.

I am well experienced in building bridges between young people and the police, demonstrating the positive aspect of the modern police service. This can only be achieved by being a visible presence within the school through the delivering of assemblies and classroom workshops, whilst being available during lunch and break times for the students to approach and engage with.

I am delighted at being posted to King Solomon High School for the 2021/22 academic year and am especially looking forward to immersing myself in the school’s values of learning, community and charity.
