Today our year 10 Geography GCSE students arrived in the Bannau Brycheiniog, after the mornings journey they wasted no time and set off for a 3 hour hike through a V shaped valley to reach the peak of the mountain! The group encouraged each other well and worked great as a team! After dinner this evening the students completed orienteering of the local area surrounding the field centre, once again the students demonstrated fantastic team work! What a great first day in Wales. Students spent the morning completing their Rivers fieldwork investigation where they completed measurements of three courses of the river to see how the characteristics change from the source to the mouth. We had students participating in gorge walking where they had the chance to jump off a range of waterfalls. The second activity group did caving where they battled through various challenges and worked great as a team to navigate the tricky cave tunnels!
