Our annual trip for year 12 students recently took place.
The group started in Warsaw visiting the Nozyk Synagogue, a cemetery and orphanage. They moved onto the Mila 18 and the Warsaw ghetto uprising, Umshlagplatz deportation centre, Treblinka concentration camp, Tikochin Village and Lipochover forest. After a long coach journey our group moved to Krakow, visiting Auschwitz and spending a very special Shabbat there. The students also had an unexpected visit from Holocaust survivor Dov Landau who shared his story not only about his survival but also about the significant contribution to the establishment of the State of Israel.
